Market Economics Geography Masters Research Scholarship, New Zealand
The Scholarship was first established in 2005 and is funded by Market Economics Ltd, an independent New Zealand-based consultancy that specialises in market and economic analysis and environmental and ecological research.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage postgraduate research in the field of human / economic geography, including GIS, by rewarding demonstrated ability.
How do students apply?
Application can be accessed from the University of Auckland scholarships website.
The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Director of the School of Environment (or nominee), a senior academic staff member in the field of human geography, economic geography or geographic information science and one representative of the Donor (appointed by the sponsor or trustee).
How and when do students learn of the decision?
Approximately six weeks after the closing date by letter or email.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
The recipient’s name and proposed topic will be included on Market Economics Ltd’s website.
Market Economics Ltd may require the recipient to provide an informal presentation of their completed research to Market Economics staff. Alternatively, or in addition, Market Economics may seek to attend any in-department research presentations by the recipient, if practicable.
Market Economics Ltd may request a copy of the completed research.
