Distance Learning PhD Scholarships, University Of Leicester, UK
The Department of Politics and International Relations is pleased to offer three fully funded scholarships for September 2014 entry to its Distance Learning PhD programme.
The scholarships are such that UK/EU tuition fee rates for the whole programme will be paid in full. International applicants (and those not eligible to pay UK/EU tuition fees) must demonstrate that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates
The Department has an existing expertise in intelligence and security issues and we wish to provide opportunities for high level students to pursue studies in this area.
Therefore the scholarships are for outstanding students who wish to study the following topics:
Supervisors will be appointed subject to agreed research projects.
Applicants must have a first-class or high upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline and meet the University’s standard English language entry requirements. It is normally expected that applicants will have a relevant Masters degree or be able to show evidence that they will achieve this before September 2014.
These scholarships are for Distance Learning study only, and applicants must be able to commence their studies in September 2014.
Available to suitable UK/EU and International (i.e., outside the EU) applicants – please note though that the award covers tuition fees at the UK/EU rate only; international applicants (and those not eligible to pay UK/EU tuition fees) must demonstrate that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates.
