3-Day Technical Training Workshop (March 35, 2014)
The Department of Chemistry established an Electronics Equipment Maintenance Cell (EEMC) in early 2012 comprising of a team of devoted engineers under the leadership of Mr. Nasir Mahmood Anjum (Electronics Engineer). Besides, working and providing services to this department this cell has been extending these services to all concerned departments of the university. These services include repair and maintenance of electronic equipments e.g. Oscilloscopes, Regulated power supplies, Function generators, Heating ovens, Microwave ovens, Hot plates, Stirrers, Water baths, Centrifuge machines, Rotary evaporators etc.
The cell has already successfully organized two training workshops on working and handling of various instruments. This is the third workshop on the subject to be held in the Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. The purpose of this workshop is to train the technical staff members of research organizations and educational institutions at college and university level, who are operating and handling various instruments so that they can solve minor problems of basic scientific laboratory equipments and save precious time and money of the nation.
This three-day training workshop will encompass basics of electronics (analog and digital) along with the corresponding laboratory experiments.
1. To educate participants about the basics of electronics (analog & digital).
2. Participants will learn about the instruments:
Problem diagnosing and solving techniques
Criteria for Issuance of Certificate:
Every participant shall have to pass a simple written test.
Number of Participants:
Due to limited number of seats only 40 participants will be registered.
Registration fee of Rs.500/- will be charged from each participant.
No accommodation will be provided to any participant.
